    I have a Nissan Pathfinder 2009 R51 and need to register new Smart Key using my MaxiDas DS708. the car had two Smart Keys and one was broken. I bought new blank Smart Key from the dealer and need help with the steps to register the new key.
    I got NATS password from KeyTech tools website and could do C/U initialization successfully, then a message on the screen " Initialization completed successfully. follow operation manual Instructions to do key Registration". can someone please help me to know what are the required steps after that?
    Remark: I couldn't access NATS - Steer-Lock Release (Key ID Erase) by using the new (or Old) password from "KeyTech tools"! only it worked for C/U initialization! I kept receiving a message "The Function is not supported - Error:11 or 12"

     I am having same problem on 09 altima, I am able to do steering unlock. Tech support says they have nissan update by end of June with more instructions. It doesn't look like it has capability to do the Nissan keys to me. It should have a link to register keys and it doesn't. Tried on 05 altima with normal immobi key and the same result. Maybe someone has the answer. thanks.

     I downloaded the Nissan update yesterday and could use C/U initialization to program the Mechanical Key only! still not able to register the new I-Key!!

    the "new" password also unable to access to the NATS - Steer-Lock Release (Key ID Erase).

    can someone help please...

     Thx for the reply ede65. unfortunately this did not work!! I've tried it today...I met all mentioned conditions in your post, but still the same "the function is not supported.." maybe other conditions need to be met here?!

     yes, it's not a push button type. can you please tell me what should I do after C/U initialization? as after accessing the initialization menu there is no such option like I-key reg.!! I could use this menu only for the Mechanical Key registration but not the I-key.

    I tried pressing the buttons of the key but not succeeded!  maybe there is certain sequence?!

     Dear ede65, this also did not work..C/U initialization could do only the mechanical key. I've tried everything mentioned in your post but did not succeed!
    the BCM also doesn't have any faults codes. and if you try accessing the NATS menu with ignition off; then C/U initialization can't be accessed...
    I'm starting to believe that DS708 doesn't have the function to program Nissan I-Keys!?
